Sky Sport Secures Live Rights to LIV Golf and Asian Tour Starting 2026

After losing PGA and DP World Tour rights, Sky secures LIV Golf and Asian Tour rights from 2026, offering 600 hours of live golf.

After losing the exclusive broadcasting rights for the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour in the German-speaking region to Telekom’s Magenta TV starting in 2026, Sky Sport has now secured the rights to LIV Golf and the key tournaments of the Asian Tour from 2026. Sky Sport will broadcast 30 events from both tours, totaling around 600 hours of live coverage.

Sky Reacts to Rights Loss by Joining LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Deutschland, is pleased that Sky Sport will hold the long-term broadcasting rights for all four men’s major tournaments, the five women’s major tournaments, all important women’s tournaments, and now additionally the rights to the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour. He says: ‘The global LIV Golf schedule and its unique team and individual competition format provide fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and fantastic venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the most exciting and best players worldwide.’

The partnership begins on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event ‘LIV Golf Promotions 2026’ at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, where an international field of players will compete for three coveted wild card spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. Among them are German professionals Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, Max Rottluff, and Austrian Matthias Schwab. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast LIV Golf Promotions live daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

With the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour plus over 1,000 hours of live coverage annually, Sky Sport continues to offer its customers a comprehensive golf program. Coverage of DP World Tour and PGA Tour tournaments will be available on Magenta TV starting January 15, 2026. Golf fans wanting weekly live coverage of major tournaments will need two subscriptions in the future.
