Sky Sport Secures Live Rights to LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026

Sky Sport secures live rights for LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026, offering around 600 hours of live golf coverage.

After losing the exclusive broadcasting rights for the DP World Tour and PGA Tour in the German-speaking region to Telekom’s Magenta TV starting in 2026, Sky Sport has now secured the rights to LIV Golf and the Asian Tour’s most important tournaments from 2026. Sky Sport will broadcast 30 events across these two tours, totaling approximately 600 hours of live coverage.

Sky Responds to Rights Loss with LIV Golf and Asian Tour Entry

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Deutschland, is excited that Sky Sport will hold long-term broadcasting rights for all four men’s major championships, the five women’s majors, key women’s tournaments, and now also the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour. He states: ‘The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition format provide fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and fantastic venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events featuring many of the most exciting and best players in the world.’

The partnership begins on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event “LIV Golf Promotions 2026” at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, where an international field competes for three coveted wildcard spots for the LIV Golf League 2026 season. Notable German professionals Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer and Max Rottluff as well as Austrian Matthias Schwab will participate. Sky Sport Golf broadcasts the LIV Golf Promotions live daily from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

With the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour, providing over 1,000 hours of live coverage annually, Sky Sport continues to offer its viewers a comprehensive golf program. Coverage of DP World Tour and PGA Tour events will be available on Magenta TV starting January 15, 2026. Golf fans wishing to follow the sport live each week and watch major tournaments on their devices will require two separate subscriptions in the future.
