Sky Sport Secures Live Rights to LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026

After losing PGA and DP World Tour rights, Sky Sport secures LIV Golf and Asian Tour live coverage from 2026 with 600 hours annually.

Following the loss of exclusive broadcasting rights for the DP World Tour and PGA Tour in German-speaking regions to Telekom’s Magenta TV starting 2026, Sky Sport has now secured the rights to LIV Golf and key Asian Tour tournaments from 2026 onward. Sky Sport will broadcast 30 events from both tours, totaling around 600 hours of live golf coverage.

Sky Responds to Rights Loss by Joining LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President of Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Germany, is pleased that Sky Sport has long-term broadcasting rights for all four men’s Major tournaments, all five women’s Major tournaments, other key women’s events, as well as the LIV Golf League and Asian Tour. He stated, ‘The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition format offer fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and outstanding venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the most exciting and top players worldwide.’

The partnership launches on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event ‘LIV Golf Promotions 2026’ at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, where an international field competes for three coveted wildcard spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. Among the participants are German professionals Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, and Max Rottluff, as well as Austrian Matthias Schwab. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast the LIV Golf Promotions live daily from 4:00 to 9:00 pm.

With LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour plus over 1,000 hours of live coverage annually, Sky Sport continues to offer an extensive golf program. Coverage of DP World Tour and PGA Tour tournaments will be available from January 15, 2026, on Magenta TV. Golf fans wishing to watch live weekly and major tournaments on their devices will need subscriptions to both services.
