Sky Sport Secures Live Rights to LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026

After losing PGA and DP World Tour rights, Sky Sport secures LIV Golf and Asian Tour rights from 2026, offering around 600 hours of live golf.

Following the loss of exclusive broadcasting rights for the DP World Tour and PGA Tour in German-speaking countries to Telekom’s Magenta TV starting in 2026, Sky Sport has now secured the rights to LIV Golf and the major tournaments of the Asian Tour from 2026. Sky Sport will broadcast 30 events from both tours, totaling approximately 600 hours of live television coverage.

Sky Reacts to Rights Loss by Partnering with LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Germany, expressed his excitement that Sky Sport will retain long-term broadcasting rights for all four men’s major championships, the five women’s majors, all key women’s tournaments, and now also the LIV Golf league and the Asian Tour. He stated, ‘The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition format offer fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events featuring many of the most exciting and top players in the world.’

The partnership will begin on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event ‘LIV Golf Promotions 2026’ at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, where an international field will compete for three coveted wildcard spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. German professionals Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, Max Rottluff, and Austrian Matthias Schwab will participate. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast LIV Golf Promotions daily live from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Extensive Live Golf Coverage Continues on Sky Sport

With the LIV Golf League, the Asian Tour, and over 1,000 hours of live coverage per year, Sky Sport will continue to offer its customers a comprehensive golf package. Coverage of the DP World Tour and PGA Tour tournaments will be available on Magenta TV starting January 15, 2026. Golf fans wishing to watch live tournaments weekly across their devices will need subscriptions to both services in future.
