Sky Sport Secures Live Rights for LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026

After losing PGA Tour and DP World Tour, Sky secures LIV Golf and Asian Tour rights from 2026 with around 600 hours of live golf.

After losing the exclusive broadcast rights for the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour in German-speaking regions to Telekom’s Magenta TV from 2026, Sky Sport has now secured the rights to LIV Golf and key tournaments of the Asian Tour starting 2026. Sky Sport will broadcast 30 events from both tours, totaling around 600 hours of live coverage.

Sky Reacts to Rights Loss by Joining LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Germany, is pleased that Sky Sport will hold long-term broadcast rights for all four men’s Major tournaments, five women’s Major tournaments, all major women’s tournaments, and additionally the LIV Golf league and the Asian Tour. He stated, “The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition format provide fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the most exciting and best players in the world.”

The partnership begins on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event “LIV Golf Promotions 2026” at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, featuring an international field competing for three coveted wildcard spots for the LIV Golf League 2026 season. Among the participants are German pros Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, Max Rottluff, and Austrian Matthias Schwab. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast LIV Golf Promotions live daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

With the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour, along with over 1,000 hours of live annual coverage, Sky Sport continues to offer extensive golf content. From January 15, 2026, DP World Tour and PGA Tour tournaments will be broadcast on Magenta TV. Fans wishing to watch weekly live golf and major tournaments on their devices will need to subscribe to two services.
