Sky Sport Secures LIV Golf and Asian Tour Broadcast Rights from 2026

After losing PGA Tour and DP World Tour rights, Sky secures LIV Golf and Asian Tour rights with around 600 hours of live golf from 2026.

Following the loss of exclusive broadcast rights for the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour in the German-speaking region to Telekom’s Magenta TV starting in 2026, Sky Sport has now secured the broadcast rights for LIV Golf and the key tournaments of the Asian Tour from 2026. Sky Sport will air 30 events from both tours, totaling approximately 600 hours of live coverage on television.

Sky Responds to Rights Loss by Joining LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Germany, expressed his excitement that Sky Sport will hold long-term broadcasting rights for all four men’s Major tournaments, the five women’s Major tournaments, all major women’s events, and now additionally the rights to the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour. He stated: ‘The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition format offer fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the most exciting and best players in the world.’

The partnership kicks off on Friday, January 9, 2026, with the live broadcast of the qualifying event “LIV Golf Promotions 2026” at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, where an international field competes for three coveted wildcard spots for the LIV Golf League 2026 season. Among the participants are German professionals Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, and Max Rottluff, as well as Austrian Matthias Schwab. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast the LIV Golf Promotions live daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

With the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour, plus over 1,000 hours of live coverage per year, Sky Sport will continue to offer its customers an extensive golf program. Coverage of the DP World Tour and PGA Tour tournaments will be available on Magenta TV from January 15, 2026. Golf fans wishing to watch live golf and major tournaments weekly on their devices will need to subscribe to two services in the future.
