After securing exclusive broadcasting rights for the Ryder Cup, the DP World Tour, and the PGA Tour, MagentaTV has now attracted a prominent commentator from Sky Sport. Gregor Biernath: “Something New and Positive is Emerging for Golf”
Gregor Biernath, one of the most recognized golfing voices in the German-speaking world, is moving from Sky to MagentaTV. He will lead the new expert team, supported by golf experts Florian Zunker, Bernd Ritthammer, and Max Kramer. Regarding his move, Biernath said, “The whole team immediately gave me the feeling that something new and good for golf is emerging here. We can shape and refresh golf coverage innovatively at MagentaTV.” He also described the new team as a “cool editorial team” and praised the “really good mix.”
New faces have also been sought and found in the commentator department. Michael Born, previously known for handball and football commentary at DAZN, will join Herbert Gogel and Stephan Gandel in commentating on golf events. Additionally, Holger Speckhahn, known primarily as an ice hockey moderator for MagentaSport, will also accompany the upcoming live broadcasts.
