Top Finishes for Tamburlini and Rottluff, Cejka Midfield on Champions Tour

Chiara Tamburlini and Maximilian Rottluff secure top-10 finishes, while Alex Cejka ends mid-pack at the Simmons Bank Championship.

As the golf season transitions into autumn, the tournament weekend still offered plenty of action beyond the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.

LET: Tamburlini Cracks the Top 10

Ya Ni Tseng celebrated a triumphant homecoming at the Wistron Ladies Open in Taiwan, part of the Ladies European Tour. The five-time major champion clinched her first title in 11 years with a score of 14-under-par. Despite limited success on the LPGA Tour in recent years, the 36-year-old has found new form using a left-handed putter, despite being a right-handed player. Due to weather conditions, the event was shortened to two rounds. Swiss golfer Chiara Tamburlini capitalized on the format, finishing T8 at 7-under-par. Germany’s Helen Briem ended at T44 (-2), Laura Fünfstück at T67 (even par), and Patricia Isabel Schmidt at T75 (+1).

Champions Tour: Cejka Finishes Midfield

Alex Cejka was the sole German representative at the Simmons Bank Championship on the PGA Tour Champions in Little Rock, Arizona. His performance was steady across all three rounds. He opened with four birdies, offset by a bogey and a double bogey to finish one under par. A clean second round with two birdies and another one-under final round placed him T23 alongside six others. Steven Alker dominated the field with a 20-under-par total, seven strokes ahead of runners-up Richard Green and Tag Riddings.

Asian Tour: Rottluff in the Top 10

At the International Series Philippines, local favorite Miguel Tabuena took the title with a dominant 24-under-par finish. Germany’s Maximilian Rottluff impressed with a T9 finish at 15-under-par. Fellow German Dominic Foos narrowly missed the cut on Saturday.
