The LPGA Q-School wrapped up after six intense days. Drama until the final putt and a German trio on the rise. Final day results.
Challenging weather conditions in Mobile, Alabama, shortened the LPGA Q-School to four rounds. Despite the adversity, Helen Briem, Polly Mack, and Isi Gabsa clinched their LPGA Tour cards for 2026. Swiss golfer Chiara Tamburlini also finished in the top 25, earning her spot on the tour.
Helen Briem shines at LPGA Q-School
Originally scheduled for five rounds, the event was reduced to four due to persistent weather delays. Helen Briem, however, thrived under pressure. The 20-year-old from Stuttgart displayed mental toughness throughout the week, finishing at -13 to top the leaderboard. Her final round included five birdies and just one bogey. After a stellar LET season with seven top-10s and three LPGA starts in 2025, Briem now takes the next step in her career.
“I’m kind of speechless. I came here with no expectations, but I’m really happy I’ll be playing on the LPGA Tour next year. That’s very cool.”
Polly Mack and Isi Gabsa make dramatic moves
Polly Mack delivered one of the most impressive comebacks of the final day. Starting T44 at even par, she fired a 64 with nine birdies and one bogey to finish T10. With 50 LPGA starts since 2023, Mack returns to the tour after missing her 2024 card. “You know the final stage is always tough… I’ve done this every year since 2021. I’ve learned to stay patient and trust the birdies will come. I’m proud of my progress.”
Isi Gabsa secured her card with a birdie on the final hole, finishing T24 at -5. After narrowly missing qualification last year, the 2019 LPGA rookie returns to the tour, having played mostly on the Epson Tour recently with 97 LPGA starts since 2016.
Chiara Tamburlini also impressed, shooting -4 in the final round to break into the top 25. The 26-year-old from St. Gallen has nine LPGA starts and two top-15 finishes in 2025 majors, along with three LET wins since turning pro in 2023.
International highlights and final standings
France’s Perrine Delacour, a two-time Olympian, finished T3 at -11. Mimi Rhodes, LET Rookie of the Year 2025 and second on the Order of Merit, also birdied the final hole to finish at -5 and earn her LPGA card. Her relief was evident as she secured her place on tour.
On the flip side, LET Order of Merit leader Shannon Tan finished T45 at even par, falling short of LPGA qualification. Other German-speaking players also struggled: Sophie Hausmann ended T98, Jordan Fischer and Emma Spitz tied at 67th, and Morgane Metraux dropped
