LIV Golf Promotions 2026: Opportunities for Kieffer, Bachem & Co.

Several German-speaking pros compete for three spots in the 2026 LIV Golf League at the Florida Promotions.

From January 8 to 11, the LIV Golf Promotions in Lecanto, Florida, bring together nearly 90 players from 24 countries aiming for one of three wild-card spots in the 2026 LIV Golf League. Four rounds of stroke play with daily cuts and new opportunities will decide who advances. Those reaching the weekend compete for a total prize pool of 1.5 million USD and a place among the global LIV Golf circuit. Ultimately, three spots in the 2026 LIV Golf League with guaranteed starts in all 13 events are at stake while ten additional players earn starting rights for the International Series.

LIV Golf Opens the Door – Who Will Seize the Chance?

The high-caliber field features tour winners, former LIV players, and newcomers alike. For some, it’s a comeback; for others, a breakthrough. Among them, five German-speaking players see this event as a real opportunity and possibly the start of a new chapter.

Max Kieffer Ahead of the Next Chapter

For Max Kieffer, this might be the most important appearance since his DP World Tour victory in 2022. After 13 years in Europe’s top tier, he lost his tour card. The 2025 season didn’t go as planned; he slipped in rankings and missed Q-School. Now it’s LIV Golf. The Düsseldorf native brings experience and determination, recently saying, “We’re not done yet.” Florida will show how far the comeback journey is.

Foos, Bachem, Rottluff, Schwab: Each with Their Own Story

Dominic Foos gained attention in 2025 with a win on the Asian Tour. His consistent play and international experience paved his way into the promotions. For the 28-year-old, advancing to the LIV Golf League would be both a sporting upgrade and a spotlight boost.

Nick Bachem’s 2025 ended tough with injury, a form slump, and last place at Q-School. Known for resilience, the 26-year-old has proven he can win at a high level. Similarly, Austrian Matthias Schwab missed Q-School’s final round, losing realistic tour card chances. After years on the PGA and DP World Tours, he now seeks a new path—potentially through LIV Golf. Maximilian Rottluff approaches the LIV Golf Promotions with his own perspective; last year he qualified for the Asian Tour’s International Series via this tournament.

Known Names and Open Chapters in LIV Golf

The international field includes notable global pros such as Ryder Cup participant Chris Wood (England), five-time DP World Tour winner Alex Levy (France), 2025 International Series top-three Miguel Tabuena (Philippines), and former top-ten amateur Pablo Ereno (Spain). Christopher Wood (Australia), current PGA Tour of Australasia leader, also participates. Former LIV Golf players like Anthony Kim, Matt Jones, and Ben Campbell use the promotion series to attempt re-qualification for 2026.
