LIV Golf Promotions 2026: Opportunities for Kieffer, Bachem & Co.

Several German-speaking pros compete for three LIV Golf League 2026 spots at the Florida Promotions.

From January 8 to 11, the LIV Golf Promotions in Lecanto, Florida, bring nearly 90 players from 24 countries together, all aiming for one of three wild card spots for the LIV Golf League 2026. The path is four rounds of stroke play, with a new cut each day and fresh opportunities. Those who make it to the weekend compete for a total purse of $1.5 million and a place in the global LIV Golf circuit. Ultimately, three spots for the LIV Golf League 2026 come with guaranteed starts at all 13 events. Ten others secure starting rights for the International Series.

LIV Golf Opens the Door – Who Will Seize the Opportunity?

The highly competitive field includes tour winners, former LIV players, and newcomers. For some, it is a comeback; for others, a breakthrough. Among them, five German-speaking participants see this event as a genuine opportunity and possibly the start of a new chapter.

Max Kieffer Eyes Next Chapter

For Max Kieffer, this event may be his most important appearance since his 2022 DP World Tour victory. After 13 years on the European top tier, his tour card is gone. The 2025 season didn’t go as planned; Kieffer dropped in rankings and missed Q-School. Now, LIV Golf offers a new path. The Düsseldorf native brings experience and determination, stating, \”We’re not done yet.\” Florida will reveal how far the comeback can go.

Foos, Bachem, Rottluff, Schwab: Each with Their Own Story

Dominic Foos made a mark in 2025 with a win on the Asian Tour. His consistent play and international experience earned him a spot in the promotions. At 28, making the LIV Golf League would be not only a sporting promotion but also a launch into the spotlight of the tour.

Nick Bachem’s 2025 ended bitterly with injury, a slump, and finishing last at Q-School. Yet, those who know the 26-year-old know he does not give up easily. Bachem has proven he can win at top level. Similarly, Austrian Matthias Schwab missed the final round of Q-School, losing realistic chances for a tour card. After years on the PGA and DP World Tour, he’s searching for a new path that LIV Golf might offer. Maximilian Rottluff takes his own perspective on the LIV Golf Promotions; last year, he qualified through this exact tournament for the International Series of the Asian Tour.

Familiar Names and Open Opportunities at LIV Golf

The international field features many well-known names from global professional golf, including Ryder Cup participant Chris Wood (England), five-time DP World Tour winner Alex Levy (France), and Miguel Tabuena (Philippines), who finished among the top three of the International Series in 2025. Also competing is Pablo Ereno (Spain), formerly ranked in the top ten of the amateur world rankings, and Christopher Wood (Australia), current leader on the PGA Tour of Australasia.
