LIV Golf Promotions 2026: Opportunities for Kieffer, Bachem & More

Several German-speaking pros compete in Florida at LIV Golf Promotions for three spots in the 2026 LIV Golf League.

From January 8 to 11, the LIV Golf Promotions in Lecanto, Florida, will bring together nearly 90 players from 24 countries, all vying for one of three wild-card spots in the LIV Golf League 2026. The path leads through four rounds of stroke play, with a daily cut and new opportunities. Making it to the weekend means competing for a total prize fund of 1.5 million US dollars and a place in the global LIV Golf circuit. Ultimately, three spots for the LIV Golf League 2026 are at stake, including guaranteed starts in all 13 events. Ten more players will secure starting rights for the International Series.

LIV Golf Opens the Door – Who Will Take the Leap Into the League?

The field includes tour winners, former LIV players, and newcomers alike. For some, it’s about a comeback; for others, a first major breakthrough. Among them, five German-speaking participants see this event as a genuine opportunity and potentially the start of a new chapter.

Max Kieffer Faces the Next Chapter

For Max Kieffer, this event might be his most important appearance since his 2022 DP World Tour win. After 13 years in the European top tier, his tour card is gone. The 2025 season did not go as planned: Kieffer dropped in ranking and missed Q-School. Now comes LIV Golf. The Düsseldorfer brings experience and a clear mindset that it’s not over yet: \”We’re not done yet,\” he recently wrote. Florida will show how far the road back really is.

Foos, Bachem, Rottluff, Schwab: Each With Their Own Story

Another approach but a similar goal: Dominic Foos made a name for himself in 2025 with a tournament victory on the Asian Tour. His consistent play and international experience paved his way into the Promotions. Now he wants more. For the 28-year-old, a jump into the LIV Golf League would not only be a sporting step up but also a catapult into the tour’s spotlight.

For Nick Bachem, 2025 ended bitterly: injury, a form crisis, last place at Q-School — the year didn’t go as planned. But those who know the 26-year-old know that he doesn’t give up easily. Bachem has already shown he can win at the top level. Similarly, Matthias Schwab missed the final round of Q-School and thereby any realistic chance at a tour card. After years on the PGA and DP World Tours, he’s now searching for a new path — LIV Golf might provide that. Maximilian Rottluff approaches the LIV Golf Promotions with his own perspective. The 32-year-old qualified last year for the Asian Tour’s International Series via this very tournament.

Familiar Names and Open Chapters at LIV Golf

The international field also includes many well-known names from global professional golf. These include Ryder Cup player Chris Wood (England), five-time DP World Tour winner Alex Levy (France
