LIV Golf Promotions 2026: New Opportunities for Kieffer, Bachem & Co.

At the LIV Golf Promotions in Florida, several German-speaking pros compete for three spots in the 2026 LIV Golf League.

From January 8 to 11, the action heats up in Lecanto, Florida. The LIV Golf Promotions bring together nearly 90 players from 24 countries—all aiming for one of three wild-card spots for the LIV Golf League 2026. The path leads over four rounds of stroke play, with a new cut each day and fresh chances daily. Those who make it to the weekend compete for a total prize purse of $1.5 million and a place in the global LIV Golf circuit. Ultimately, three spots in the 2026 LIV Golf League await, including guaranteed starts at all 13 events. Ten others will secure starts for the International Series.

LIV Golf Opens the Door – Who Will Seize the Opportunity?

The field includes tour winners, former LIV players, and newcomers, all bringing high-level talent. For some players, it’s a comeback; for others, the first big breakthrough. Among them, five German-speaking participants see this event as a real opportunity and possibly the beginning of a new chapter.

German-Speaking Pros Eye LIV Golf League Spots

Max Kieffer faces what might be his most important appearance since his 2022 DP World Tour victory. After 13 years in Europe’s top tier, he lost his tour card. The 2025 season didn’t go as planned; Kieffer dropped in the rankings and missed Q-School. Now it’s LIV Golf. The Düsseldorf native brings experience and a clear mindset: “We’re not done yet,” he recently wrote. Florida will reveal how far his comeback can go.

Dominic Foos has made a name for himself with a 2025 Asian Tour win. Consistent play and international experience paved his way into the promotions. Now, the 28-year-old aims higher: a leap to the LIV Golf League would not only be a sporting advancement but also a spotlight launch onto the tour.

Nick Bachem’s 2025 ended bitterly with injury, form issues, and a last-place finish at Q-School. But those who know the 26-year-old know he won’t give up easily. Bachem has proven he can win at the top level. Similarly, Austrian Matthias Schwab missed the final of Q-School, losing most realistic chances for a tour card. After years on the PGA and DP World Tour, he’s seeking a new path—the LIV Golf League might provide it. Maximilian Rottluff brings his own perspective to the LIV Golf Promotions. The 32-year-old qualified last year through this very tournament for the Asian Tour’s International Series.
