LIV Golf Opens the Door – Who Will Seize the Opportunity?
The field features tour winners, former LIV players, and newcomers, presenting a high-caliber competition. For some, the event represents a comeback chance; for others, a breakthrough moment. Among them, five German-speaking participants see this as a significant opportunity and possibly the start of a new chapter.
Key German-Speaking Players to Watch at LIV Golf Promotions
Max Kieffer is making what might be his most important appearance since his DP World Tour win in 2022. After 13 years on the European Tour, he lost his tour card, and the 2025 season didn’t go as planned. Dropping in the rankings and missing Q-School, Kieffer now aims for LIV Golf with experience and determination, stating, ‘We’re not done yet.’ Florida will reveal how far his comeback journey will go.
Dominic Foos, who gained attention with an Asian Tour win in 2025, brings consistent play and international experience into the Promotions, aiming to elevate his career and gain prominence on the tour. Nick Bachem faced a tough 2025 with injury and form issues, finishing last at Q-School, but his resilience is well known. Matthias Schwab, after missing the final stage of Q-School and thus realistic chances for a tour card, is looking for a new path after years on the PGA and DP World Tours, with LIV Golf potentially offering that. Maximilian Rottluff enters with his unique perspective, having qualified last year for the Asian Tour’s International Series through this very tournament.
