The second round of the Ladies European Tour at the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España brought significant movement to the leaderboard on a course that punishes every mistake. Thailand’s Trichat Cheenglab pulled away from the field with a flawless 63, reaching 15-under-par overall and opening up a seven-shot lead over Italy’s Alessandra Fanali.
The German players delivered mixed performances, with birdie streaks, eagles and challenging back nines. Leonie Harm continued to position herself in the top half of the leaderboard, while others fought to stay in the mix.

Leonie Harm posted another red number on day two. After three birdies on the front nine, her round took a rough turn with a double bogey and two bogeys after the turn. However, she bounced back with a birdie on 16 and an eagle on 17 to finish with a 71 (-1), placing her at five-under-par and tied for 11th.
Olivia Cowan found her rhythm in Málaga, carding three birdies on holes 2, 6 and 9. Despite bogeys on 16 and 17, a closing birdie on 18 secured her a 70. With rounds of 72 and 70, she sits at two-under-par and tied for 30th.
Mixed results for Briem, Försterling and Schmidt
Helen Briem had a shaky start with two birdies offset by two bogeys and a double bogey on the front nine. She steadied her game on the back nine with birdies on 10 and 15, finishing with an even-par 72. She is one-under overall and tied for 34th.
