The Greenkeeping team has applied over 325 tonnes of sand for course recovery and playability.
Over the past week, our Greenkeeping team have been working extremely hard to carry out extensive maintenance on the Heritage Course. In total, more than 325 tonnes of sand were applied across the course to support recovery and long-term playability.
Maintenance Activities
The work included:
- Greens – hollow coring, scarifying, aeration, topdressing, and rolling, with 90 tonnes of sand applied. The greens have already had their first cut and will continue to be refined over the coming weeks.
- Tees & Approaches – deep scarification, aeration, and topdressing, with over 130 tonnes of sand applied in total.
- Fairways – targeted topdressing of wet areas with 105 tonnes of sand.
- Drainage – over 1,200 metres of new drainage installed across holes 8, 10, and 16.
At the same time, the long rough on both courses has been cut back in preparation for the cooler months ahead.
