This week, golf fans can look forward to three standout men’s tournaments. The DP World Tour continues its early summer swing in Australia with the Crown Australian Open at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club. Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy makes his season debut for 2026 at this event. German-speaking players Maximilian Steinlechner, Freddy Schott, and Yannik Paul, along with Swiss golfer Joel Girrbach, are also in the field.

Second DP World Tour event in South Africa
Meanwhile, the DP World Tour also hosts a second event this week on another continent. The Nedbank Golf Challenge takes place at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, South Africa, with a $6 million purse. Last year’s winner, Johannes Veerman from the U.S., returns to defend his title, facing tough competition from 2025 Ryder Cup player Viktor Hovland. German players Marcel Siem and Nicolai von Dellingshausen, as well as Austrian Bernd Wiesberger, round out the strong German-speaking contingent.
