Bernhard Langer and son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the win ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. The family-team event, played in a scramble format over two rounds, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the field were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, who finished T7, and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II, who tied for second.
Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered an impressive performance. They opened with a flawless round featuring 15 birdies and followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday. Their total of 33-under-par secured a commanding victory.
Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par. John Daly and son John II posted a 59 on both days, each round featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru carded a 60 on Saturday and followed up with 14 birdies on Sunday to match Team Daly’s total.
Nelly Korda shines in fourth place
Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi to finish T4 at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring two-time major winner and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The Kordas opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, making Nelly the only LPGA Tour pro in the field.
Bernhard Langer finishes T7 at PNC Championship
Defending champion and two-time Masters winner Bernhard Langer and his son Jason couldn’t repeat last year’s success. They opened with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and followed with a 60 (-10) on Sunday, finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place.
