Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the title. The event, which marks the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour, was played in a two-day scramble format and featured family duos including Bernhard and Jason Langer (T7), and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II (T2).
Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless opening round with 15 birdies. On the final day, they added 14 birdies and two eagles to finish at an impressive 33-under-par, securing a clear victory at the top of the leaderboard.
Teams Daly and Love shared second place at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son John II posted two strong rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed up with a bogey-free round of 14 birdies on Sunday.
Nelly Korda shines in family format
Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker and his daughter Izzi tied for fourth place at 25-under-par with Team Korda. LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda, the only active female pro in the field, teamed up with her father Petr. They improved from an opening 60 to a final-round 59.
Team Langer finishes T7
Defending champions Bernhard Langer, a two-time Masters winner, and his son Jason started strong with a bogey-free 61 and improved to a 60 on Sunday. Despite their solid performance, their 23-under-par total placed them in a tie for seventh, just short of the podium.
