Team Kuchar wins 2025 PNC Championship, Langer duo finishes T7

Bernhard Langer and son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the win. The family-team event, played in a scramble format over two rounds, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the field were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, who finished tied for seventh, and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II, who tied for second.

Team Kuchar dominates PNC Championship

Matt Kuchar, a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion, teamed up with his son Cameron to deliver a commanding performance. On Saturday, they carded a flawless round with 15 birdies. They followed it up on Sunday with 14 birdies and two eagles, finishing at 33-under-par to secure a clear victory.

Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par. John Daly and son John II impressed with two rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Championship winner, and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed with 14 birdies on Sunday to share second place.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda was the only active female pro in the field. Teaming up with her father Petr, the Kordas opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, finishing tied for fourth with Team Stricker. Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker and his daughter Izzi also posted a strong 25-under-par total.

Team Langer finishes T7

Defending champions Bernhard and Jason Langer couldn’t replicate their previous success. The two-time Masters winner and his son opened with a bogey-free 61 and followed with a 60, ending the event at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place on the leaderboard.
