Team Kuchar wins PNC Championship 2025, Langer duo finishes T7

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the title. The family-team event, played in a scramble format over two rounds, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the participants were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason (T7), as well as fan favorite John Daly and his son John II (T2).

Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, dominated the event. They opened with a flawless round featuring 15 birdies on Saturday. On Sunday, they added 14 birdies and two eagles, finishing at an impressive 33-under-par to secure the win.

Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par to share second place. John Daly and his son John II impressed with two rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru started with a 60 and followed up with a bogey-free round of 14 birdies on Sunday.

Nelly Korda shines with top-5 finish

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi, finishing T4 at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring two-time major winner and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The Kordas opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, making Nelly the only LPGA Tour pro in the field.

Defending champions Langer & son fall short

Germany’s Bernhard Langer, a two-time Masters champion, and his son Jason couldn’t repeat last year’s success. They started with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and followed up with a 60 (-10), finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place on the leaderboard.
