Team Kuchar dominates 2025 PNC Championship with record score

Bernhard Langer and son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the title. The family-team event, played in a scramble format over two rounds, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the competitors were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason (T7), as well as fan favorite John Daly and his son John II (T2).

Team Kuchar, featuring 2016 Ryder Cup winner Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless performance. On Saturday, they carded 15 birdies for a 57 (-15), followed by 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday. Their total of 33-under-par secured a commanding victory atop the leaderboard.

Trailing them were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par to share second place. John Daly and son John II impressed with back-to-back 59s, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, teamed up with his son Dru to post rounds of 60 and 58, highlighted by consistent birdie play and an eagle.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker played alongside his daughter Izzi, finishing T4 at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The Kordas opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, showcasing Nelly’s elite form.

Bernhard Langer falls short of podium

Defending champions Bernhard and Jason Langer couldn’t repeat their previous success. The two-time Masters winner and his son posted rounds of 61 and 60, finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh. Despite a strong showing, it wasn’t enough to reach the podium this year.
