Team Kuchar wins 2025 PNC Championship, Langer finishes T7

Bernhard Langer and son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the title. The family-team event, played in a scramble format over two rounds, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the notable participants were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, who finished tied for seventh, and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II, who tied for second.

Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a dominant performance. They opened with a flawless round featuring 15 birdies and followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday. Their total of 33-under-par secured a clear victory atop the leaderboard.

Sharing second place at 26-under were Team Daly and Team Love. John Daly and his son John II impressed with back-to-back 59s, each round including nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru started with a 60 and followed up with 14 birdies on Sunday to match Team Daly’s score.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi to finish T4 at 25-under. They shared the position with Team Korda, featuring two-time major winner and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The Kordas opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, making Nelly the only LPGA pro in the field.

Team Langer finishes T7

Defending champions Bernhard Langer and his son Jason couldn’t replicate last year’s success. They posted a bogey-free 61 on Saturday and improved to a 60 on Sunday, finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place.
