Team Kuchar wins PNC Championship as Langer duo misses podium

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded the 2025 PGA Champions Tour season. Played in a two-round scramble format, the family team event saw Team Kuchar emerge victorious ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. Bernhard Langer and his son Jason finished tied for 7th, while crowd favorite John Daly and his son John II secured a share of second place.

Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, dominated the tournament. On Saturday, they fired a flawless round with 15 birdies, finishing 15-under par. They followed up with another stellar performance on Sunday, adding 14 birdies and two eagles to close at 33-under par and claim the title.

Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under par. John Daly and his son John II impressed with two consecutive 59s, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed up with a bogey-free round featuring 14 birdies.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi, and the duo tied for fourth at 25-under par. Sharing that spot was Team Korda, featuring two-time major winner and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The LPGA star was the only active female pro in the field. They opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday.

Bernhard Langer misses podium finish

Defending champions Bernhard Langer, a two-time Masters winner, and his son Jason couldn’t replicate last year’s success. They started with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and improved to a 60 (-12) on Sunday. Their total of 23-under par placed them in a tie for seventh.
