Bernhard Langer vividly remembers his first appearance at the PNC Championship. At the time, his son was still in high school—young, ambitious, and right in the mix with the pros. “We had so much fun,” Langer recalls. “Back then, he had to compete against professional teams—he’d hit a drive and then go for the green with an 8-iron, even if he was three over par.” It wasn’t about the score, though. “It was just a great time.” That first experience sparked a tradition that continues to this day. “I loved this tournament from the first moment I was invited.”
