Bernhard Langer vividly recalls his first appearance at the PNC Championship. At the time, his son was still in high school—young, ambitious, and right in the mix with the pros. “We had a blast,” Langer says today. “Back then, he had to compete against professional teams—hitting drives and aiming for the green with an 8-iron, even when he was three over par.” It wasn’t easy, but that wasn’t the point. “It was just a wonderful time.” For Langer, it marked the beginning of a tradition that continues to this day. “I loved this tournament from the first moment I was invited.”
