Marc Hammer secures his Asian Tour card after a five-hole playoff at Q-School in Hua Hin. Other Germans miss the cut.

The final stage of the Asian Tour Qualifying School (Q-School) at the Lake View Resort and Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand, concluded with 35 players earning their tour cards. Among them was German golfer Marc Hammer, who clinched his spot after a dramatic playoff. Leading the field was China’s Lin Yuxin, who delivered a consistent and impressive performance over five rounds to top the leaderboard.

Lin Yuxin tops Asian Tour Q-School

Left-hander Lin Yuxin carded a final-round 67 (-4), continuing his strong form from earlier rounds (68–67–70–67). With a total of 16-under-par, the 25-year-old secured the top spot and his Asian Tour card. Yuxin, a former winner of the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship (2017, 2019) and collegiate player at the University of Florida, turned professional in 2023. He has since competed on the PGA Tour Americas and selected Korn Ferry Tour events. Reflecting on his recent struggles with putting, Yuxin said, “I played well all season but had issues with my putter, especially in the summer. I worked hard on it in October and November, and my game has felt good since.” He added, “It’s been tough, with many ups and downs. I’ve learned a lot since turning pro—it’s been a valuable experience.”

India’s Shaurya Bhattacharya followed closely with a total of 15-under-par after rounds of 70–67–65–66, though he stumbled on the final day with a 72 and four bogeys. Canadian Henry Lee finished third at 14-under-par.

The battle for the final tour cards was intense, with twelve players tied at five-under-par for 28th place. A five-hole playoff determined the last eight qualifiers, including Germany’s Marc Hammer. The 27-year-old from Sandhausen, Baden-Württemberg, posted rounds of 71–67–72–70, finishing with a final-round 70 (-2). His consistent performance throughout the tournament earned him a coveted Asian Tour card. Hammer has prior experience on the DP World Tour, where he recorded three top-10 finishes last season.

Other German participants, including Nicolas Horder (T93), Philipp Katich (T100), Wolfgang Glawe (T118), and Julius Kreutzer (T118), failed to make the cut after the fourth round.
