World Golf Ranking: McIlroy & Fitzpatrick Top Brits

Current shifts in the World Golf Ranking with a focus on the top UK players and overall leaders.

In this week’s World Golf Ranking, Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland maintains his second place, followed by Matt Fitzpatrick from England who holds onto his eighth rank. Neither player saw movement from their positions last week.

The subsequent British, Welsh, and Scottish golfers in the ranking are Tommy Fleetwood, also from England, at rank 11, Tyrrell Hatton at rank 16, and Robert MacIntyre from Scotland at rank 64. Fleetwood and Hatton remained steady in their positions from the previous week, while MacIntyre saw a two-spot drop, signaling a slight setback in his standing. Moving into the overall top 10 of the World Golf Ranking, Scottie Scheffler from the USA continues to hold the number one spot, with no position changes for the top 7 players this week. Jon Rahm from Spain holds at third while Viktor Hovland from Norway sits at fourth. The American trio of Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, and Max Homa complete the fifth, sixth, and seventh positions, respectively. The ninth and tenth spots are occupied by Americans Brian Harman and Wyndham Clark; both remain in their previous week’s positions. Notably, the remainder of the World Golf Ranking top 10 did not experience any shifts this week. However, significant movement is seen below, with Tony Finau of the USA leaping six places to 20th, denoting a substantial improvement in his ranking. The World Golf Ranking provides a dynamic overview of the professional golf landscape, highlighting the performance and consistency of players on a global scale.
