Cathkin Braes Golf Club Faces Tree Damage But Progresses on Projects

Last weekend’s high winds caused tree damage at Cathkin Braes Golf Club, but the Greens Team is making great progress on various projects.

Our team has been working on new targets throughout the winter months. In preparation for the install of the new permanent signage, holes have been dug out in the target green areas.

Project Updates

The 18th bunker (LHS) has now been fully dug out and preparation for the shelf for an eco face is underway. To alleviate ongoing flooding at the end of the 1st tee path, we are currently installing 30 metres of drainage.

Maintenance Efforts

Greens have all been top dressed either by tractor spreader or hand. Areas of heavy traffic on fairways have also been top dressed. Huxley tees have all been brushed. New ball washer and bin have been installed at the 5th old tee.

Another excellent week of work from our Greens Team 🙏
