Sky Sport Secures Live Rights for LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026

After losing PGA Tour and DP World Tour rights, Sky secures LIV Golf and Asian Tour broadcasts from 2026 with 600 hours live golf.

Following the loss of exclusive broadcasting rights to the DP World Tour and PGA Tour in the German-speaking region to Telekom’s Magenta TV from 2026, Sky Sport has now secured the rights to LIV Golf and the key tournaments of the Asian Tour starting in 2026. Sky Sport will broadcast 30 events from both tours, totaling around 600 hours of live coverage.

Sky Responds to Rights Loss by Joining LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Deutschland, expressed enthusiasm that Sky Sport will hold long-term broadcasting rights for all four men’s major tournaments, the five women’s majors, all major women’s events, and now also the LIV Golf league and the Asian Tour. He stated, ‘The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition format give fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the most exciting and best players in the world.’

The partnership starts on Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event “LIV Golf Promotions 2026” at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, featuring an international field competing for three coveted wildcard spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. Participants include German professionals Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, Max Rottluff, and Austrian Matthias Schwab. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast the LIV Golf Promotions daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM live.

Extensive Live Golf Coverage Continues on Sky Sport

With the LIV Golf League and Asian Tour as well as over 1,000 hours of live coverage annually, Sky Sport continues to offer its customers comprehensive golf programming. Starting January 15, 2026, tournaments from the DP World Tour and PGA Tour will be available on Magenta TV. Golf fans wanting to follow weekly live golf and major tournaments on their devices will need to subscribe to both services in the future.
