Tiger Woods’ January birthday celebration includes a star-studded guest list, top music act, and a title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, a milestone celebrated with grandeur. His foundation is hosting a major party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star performance, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it calls for a grand celebration. Under the motto ‘RED: Celebrating Legacy,’ the milestone birthday will be celebrated with around 300 guests at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to honor Tiger Woods’ achievements on and off the course while also looking ahead. Friends such as Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, as well as other sports greats, are on the guest list.
The Theme
The evening will center around the birthday honoree. The dress code is ‘a touch of red,’ recalling the iconic final outfit of the 15-time major winner that also inspired his own clothing line. The menu is inspired by those served at the Champions Dinner following his five Masters victories, potentially including elements from the McDonald’s-inspired meal at his first Masters win, when Woods had cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will round out the evening, which even has its own sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young presents the event.
The Cause
The event is not only a celebration of 50 years in Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million that evening to support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs, which provide free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
