Tiger Woods’ birthday celebration in January features a star-studded guest list, top music act, and title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, a milestone worthy of a grand celebration. His foundation is hosting a major party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, according to Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it calls for a spectacular celebration. Under the motto “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” the milestone birthday will be celebrated with around 300 guests at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to honor his achievements on and off the golf course while looking towards the future. Guests include friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, along with other prominent sports figures.
The Theme
The evening will be dedicated to the birthday honoree. The dress code is “a touch of red,” in tribute to the iconic final round outfit of the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his own clothing line. The menu will be inspired by dishes served at the Champions Dinner following Wood’s five Masters victories, possibly including elements of the McDonald’s-inspired menu from his first Masters win, such as cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap off the evening, which is presented by the accounting firm Ernst & Young as the title sponsor.
The Cause
The event not only celebrates 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million during the evening to support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
