Sky Sport Secures Live Rights to LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026

After losing PGA and DP World Tour rights, Sky Sport acquires LIV Golf and Asian Tour from 2026 with around 600 hours live.Sky Sport lost exclusive rights to DP World Tour and PGA Tour in the German-speaking region from 2026 to Telekom’s Magenta TV, but now secures broadcasting rights for LIV Golf and major Asian Tour events from 2026. Sky Sport will air 30 events from both tours, totaling around 600 hours live on TV.

Sky responds to rights loss by entering LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Germany, is pleased that Sky Sport will hold long-term rights to all four men’s major tournaments, five women’s majors, major women’s tournaments, and now LIV Golf League and Asian Tour rights. He said, ‘LIV Golf’s global schedule and unique team and individual competition format offer fans access to top golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the world’s most exciting players.’

The partnership begins Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event “LIV Golf Promotions 2026” at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, featuring an international field competing for three wildcard spots in the LIV Golf League 2026 season. German pros Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, Max Rottluff and Austrian Matthias Schwab will participate. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast the LIV Golf Promotions live daily from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

With LIV Golf League, Asian Tour and over 1,000 hours of annual live coverage, Sky Sport continues to offer an extensive golf package. DP World Tour and PGA Tour tournaments will be available from January 15, 2026, on Magenta TV. Fans wishing to follow weekly live golf and major tournaments on their devices will need two subscriptions.
