The film not only set a Netflix record during its opening weekend with nearly 47 million streamed minutes but was watched for more than 6.2 billion minutes throughout the year, consistently ranking in Netflix’s weekly Top 10. It topped the global Top 10 list for two weeks and remained in the worldwide Top 10 for a total of five weeks.

Out of 39 films released by Netflix this year, Happy Gilmore 2 ranks second, only surpassed by ‘KPop Demon Hunters,’ which achieved over 17 billion minutes viewed.
