Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday party in January features a star-studded guest list, live music, and a title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and his milestone birthday will be celebrated in style. His foundation is hosting a grand party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a major music act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it calls for a grand celebration. Under the motto ‘RED: Celebrating Legacy’, around 300 guests will take part in the lavish party held at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event, organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aims to celebrate Tiger Woods’ achievements both on and off the golf course, while also looking to the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, as well as other sports figures.
The Theme
The evening will revolve around the birthday honoree. The dress code is ‘a touch of red’, recalling the iconic final-round outfit of the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his clothing line. The dinner menu is inspired by the meals Tiger enjoyed at the Champions Dinner after his five Masters victories. This might include elements from the McDonald’s-inspired menu from his first Masters win, when Woods served cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap off the evening, which has Ernst & Young as its title sponsor.
The Good Cause
The event not only celebrates 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million that evening to expand the TGR Learning Labs, which provide free STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
