Gregor Biernath: “Something New and Positive is Emerging for Golf”

Gregor Biernath, one of the best-known golf voices in the German-speaking world, is moving from Sky to MagentaTV. Biernath will lead the new expert team, supported by golf experts Florian Zunker, Bernd Ritthammer, and Max Kramer. Regarding his move, Biernath said: “The whole team immediately gave me the feeling that something new and positive can emerge for golf. We can shape golf on MagentaTV in an innovative and fresh way.” He also described the new team as a “cool editorial team” and spoke about a “really good mix.”

New faces were also sought and found in the commentary team. Michael Born, previously known for handball and football commentary at DAZN, will commentate golf events together with Herbert Gogel and Stephan Gandel. Additionally, Holger Speckhahn, best known as an ice hockey presenter for MagentaSport, will also accompany the upcoming live broadcasts.
