Tiger Woods’ birthday party in January features a star-studded guest list, top music act, and a title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and the milestone is being celebrated in style. His foundation is hosting a grand party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it naturally calls for a big celebration. The event, themed ‘RED: Celebrating Legacy,’ will host about 300 guests at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. Organized by Woods’ TGR Foundation, the celebration aims to honor Tiger’s achievements on and off the course while looking toward the future. The guest list includes friends such as Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, along with other prominent sports figures.
The Theme
The evening will focus entirely on the birthday honoree. The dress code is ‘a touch of red’ in tribute to the iconic final-round outfit of the 15-time major champion, which also inspired his own clothing line. The dinner menu is inspired by the meals Tiger served at the Champions Dinner after his five Masters wins, possibly including elements from the McDonald’s-inspired menu of his first Masters victory, when Woods served cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi rounds off the evening, which also has a title sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young presents the event.
A Charitable Cause
Besides celebrating 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life, the event also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million during the evening to support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) education, career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
