Tiger Woods Celebrates 50th Birthday with Star-Studded Event

Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday party in January features a star-studded guest list, top music act, and title sponsor.

Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and his milestone birthday is set to be celebrated in grand style. On January 14, his foundation is hosting a major party with an exclusive guest list, a star act, and a title sponsor, according to Front Office Sports.

The Occasion

When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it calls for a big celebration. Under the theme “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” around 300 guests will join the lavish festivities at The Breakers luxury resort in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is hosted by Woods’ TGR Foundation with the aim to celebrate his achievements on and off the golf course and to look toward the future. Guests include friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, along with other sports personalities.

The Theme

The evening will revolve around the birthday honoree. The dress code is “a touch of red,” a nod to the iconic final outfit worn by the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his own clothing line. The menu is inspired by the dishes served at the Champions Dinner after his five Masters wins, possibly including elements from the McDonald’s-inspired meal he chose after his first Masters victory featuring cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap off the evening, which is also presented by the title sponsor, the accounting firm Ernst & Young.

The Charitable Cause

The event not only celebrates 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise 50 million dollars during the evening to expand the TGR Learning Labs, which provide free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
