Tiger Woods’ birthday celebration in January features top guests, a star music act, and a title sponsor. Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and his milestone birthday is set to be celebrated in style. His foundation is hosting a large party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star performance, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it calls for a grand celebration. Under the motto “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” about 300 guests will join the festivities at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to honor Tiger Woods’ achievements both on and off the golf course while also looking ahead. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, along with other prominent sports figures.
The Theme
The evening will revolve around the birthday honoree. The dress code is “a touch of red,” in tribute to the iconic final-round outfit of the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his own clothing line. The menu for the evening will be inspired by the dinners Tiger himself had at the Champions Dinner after his five Masters victories. This might include elements reminiscent of the McDonald’s-inspired meal he served at his first Masters win, featuring cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap off the evening, which even has a dedicated sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young presents the event.
The Charity Cause
The event not only marks 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also celebrates the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise 50 million dollars that evening to support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
