Gregor Biernath: “Something New and Great for Golf is Emerging”
Gregor Biernath, one of the most recognized golf voices in the German-speaking world, is moving from Sky to MagentaTV. He will lead the new expert team, supported by golf experts Florian Zunker, Bernd Ritthammer, and Max Kramer. Regarding his move, Biernath said, “The entire team immediately gave me the feeling that something new and great for golf is emerging here. We can innovate and shake up golf coverage on MagentaTV.” He also described the new team as a “cool editorial team” and praised the “really good mix.”
New faces have also been brought in to commentate the golf events. Michael Born, previously known for handball and soccer commentary at DAZN, will join Herbert Gogel and Stephan Gandel in covering golf. Additionally, Holger Speckhahn, primarily known as an ice hockey presenter for MagentaSport, will also be part of the upcoming live broadcasts.
