Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday party in January features star guests, live music, and a title sponsor. Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and the milestone is set to be celebrated in grand style. His foundation is hosting a major event on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star musical act, and even a title sponsor, according to Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
When a golf legend like Tiger Woods hits 50, it calls for a big celebration. Under the motto ‘RED: Celebrating Legacy,’ the milestone birthday will be celebrated with around 300 guests at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ TGR Foundation to honor his achievements on and off the golf course while also looking ahead to the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas and longtime caddie Joe LaCava, along with other sports personalities.
The Theme
The evening will focus entirely on the birthday honoree. The dress code is ‘a touch of red’ in homage to the iconic final-round outfit of the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his own clothing line. The menu is inspired by what Tiger served at the Champions Dinner following his five Masters victories, possibly including elements from the McDonald’s-inspired meal of his first Masters win when he served cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap off the evening, which even has a title sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young presents the event.
A Charitable Cause
The event is not only a celebration of 50 years in Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million to expand the TGR Learning Labs, which provide free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
