Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday celebration in January features star guests, a top music act, and a title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and a grand celebration is planned to honor this milestone. His foundation is hosting a major party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star musical act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
A golf legend like Tiger Woods turning 50 demands a big celebration. Under the motto ‘RED: Celebrating Legacy’, approximately 300 guests will join the lavish party at The Breakers luxury resort in Palm Beach, Florida. Hosted by Woods’ TGR Foundation, the event honors his achievements on and off the golf course while looking toward the future. Attendees include friends such as Justin Thomas, longtime caddie Joe LaCava, and other notable sports figures.
The Theme
The evening centers around the birthday honoree. The dress code is ‘a touch of red’, paying homage to the iconic final-round outfit of the 15-time major champion, which also inspired his clothing line. The dinner menu draws inspiration from the meals Tiger enjoyed at the Champions Dinners following his five Masters wins, including elements from the McDonald’s-inspired menu of his first Masters victory, such as cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi concludes the night, which is presented by title sponsor Ernst & Young.
The Cause
The event not only celebrates 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million that evening to expand its TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
