Tiger Woods to Celebrate 50th Birthday with Star-Studded Event

Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday party in January features a star-studded guest list, top music act, and a title sponsor.

Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30th, and his milestone birthday will be celebrated in grand style. His foundation is hosting a major party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, according to Front Office Sports.

The Occasion

A golf legend like Tiger Woods turning 50 calls for a big celebration. Under the motto ‘RED: Celebrating Legacy,’ approximately 300 guests will attend a lavish party at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to honor Tiger Woods’ accomplishments on and off the golf course while looking ahead to the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, as well as other sports figures.

The Theme

The evening will focus entirely on the birthday honoree. The dress code is ‘a touch of red,’ inspired by the iconic final-round outfit worn by the 15-time major winner, which also influenced his own apparel line. The dinner menu draws inspiration from the meals served at the Champions Dinner following Woods’ five Masters wins, potentially including items from the McDonald’s-inspired menu from his first Masters victory, when Woods chose cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap the evening, which even has a title sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young presents the event.

For a Good Cause

The event not only celebrates 50 years in Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million during the evening to support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
