Tiger Woods to Celebrate 50th Birthday with Star-Studded Event

Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday party in January features a star-studded guest list, a top music act, and a title sponsor.

Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and the milestone will be celebrated in style. His foundation is hosting a large party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, according to Front Office Sports.

The Occasion

A golf legend’s 50th birthday calls for a grand celebration. Under the theme “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” around 300 guests will gather for a lavish party at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event, organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aims to celebrate Woods’ achievements both on and off the golf course, while also looking to the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, as well as other sports figures.

The Theme

The evening will focus entirely on the birthday honoree. The dress code is “a touch of red,” a nod to the iconic final round outfit of the 15-time major champion, which also inspired his own clothing line. The menu is inspired by dishes served at the Champions Dinner following Woods’ five Masters wins, possibly including elements from the McDonald’s-themed meal he had after his first Masters win, featuring cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap the evening, which even has a corporate sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young presents the night.

For a Good Cause

Beyond celebrating 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life, the event also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation hopes to raise $50 million during the evening to expand the TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
