TGL Season 2 kicks off with Atlanta vs. New York rematch

TGL returns with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center to open Season 2.

The second season of TGL begins with a familiar showdown as Atlanta Drive GC faces New York Golf Club on December 28 at the SoFi Center. This matchup mirrors the final of the inaugural season, where Atlanta narrowly clinched the title by a single point in both matches. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised, followed by the match in the established format featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams start with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off first. Star-studded lineups include Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York, and Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC brings proven strengths

Atlanta enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team excelled in Singles, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained unbeaten in Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a perfect fairway accuracy. Meanwhile, New York rebounded from an 0–2 start to reach the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in points and showcasing his power off the tee.

New course features for TGL Season 2

With the new season, TGL has introduced several technical enhancements. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and variable putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf allow for dynamic contour changes, increasing tactical possibilities. The hole catalog has also been updated, featuring new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add a personalized touch. A total of 15 custom-designed holes will be played.
