Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, marked the season finale of the 2025 PGA Champions Tour. Played in a two-day scramble format, the family team event saw Team Kuchar emerge victorious ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. Among the notable participants were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason (T7), as well as fan favorite John Daly and his son John II (T2).
Team Kuchar wins with dominant performance
Matt Kuchar, a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion, teamed up with his son Cameron to claim the title. They opened the tournament with a flawless round featuring 15 birdies, finishing 15-under par. On the final day, they added 14 birdies and two eagles to post a total of 33-under par, securing a clear victory at the top of the leaderboard.
Behind them, Team Daly and Team Love tied for second place at 26-under par. John Daly and his son John II impressed with back-to-back 59s, each including nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 (-12) and followed up with a bogey-free round featuring 14 birdies.
Nelly Korda shines in family format
Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker and his daughter Izzi tied for fourth place with Team Korda at 25-under par. LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda was the only active female pro in the field, playing alongside her father Petr. They opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday.
Team Langer finishes T7
Defending champions Bernhard Langer, a two-time Masters winner, and his son Jason started with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and improved to a 60 (-10) on Sunday. Despite their strong performance, their total of 23-under par only earned them a share of seventh place.
