TGL kicks off its second season with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.
The second TGL season begins with a familiar showdown. On December 28, Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club face off once again, reprising the final matchup from the inaugural season. Atlanta narrowly won both final matches by a single point and enters the new season as reigning champion. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised to the rafters, followed by the match in the familiar format featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams start with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off on the first hole. The lineups feature familiar names: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.
Atlanta Drive GC returns with proven strengths
Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with impressive stats from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, scoring the most Hammer points league-wide. New York Golf Club rebounded from an 0–2 start to make the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in total points and showcasing his power off the tee.
New season, new tech: TGL course updates
The TGL has made several technical updates for the new season. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf now allow for adjustable contours, enhancing tactical possibilities. The hole catalog has also been refreshed, featuring new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. The course now includes team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York. In total, 15 specially designed holes will be played.
