Bernhard Langer vividly remembers his first appearance at the PNC Championship. Back then, his son was still in high school—young, ambitious, and right in the middle of the action. “We had a blast,” Langer recalls. “He had to compete against professional teams—hitting drives and then aiming for the green with an 8-iron, even though he was three over par.” It wasn’t easy, but that wasn’t the point. “It was just a wonderful time.” For Langer, it marked the beginning of a cherished tradition. “I loved this tournament from the moment I was invited.”
