Starting January 2026, Magenta TV will broadcast PGA, DP World, and Champions Tour events. Majors remain with Sky.
Golf fans in Germany will have a new home for live coverage starting in 2026. Telekom has secured the broadcasting rights for the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and Champions Tour through its Magenta TV platform. The deal runs through 2029 and includes 131 tournaments in the first year alone. Additionally, Magenta TV will air the Ryder Cup in 2027 and 2029. However, Sky retains the rights to all men’s and women’s Major Championships.
300 Days of Golf on Magenta TV
The new rights package includes approximately 300 days of live golf annually across two new dedicated channels: MS Golf 1 and MS Golf 2, launching in January 2026. MS Golf 1 will air full tournament coverage, while MS Golf 2 will feature highlights, player features, and historical content. The programming kicks off on January 15 with the Sony Open in Hawaii and the Dubai Invitational. All content will be available at no extra cost to Magenta TV and MagentaSport subscribers.
“Golf has a new home on MagentaTV. With this package, we offer Germany’s most comprehensive live golf coverage ever. From the first tee shot to the final putt, we’ll present every tournament like never before—live, informative, and with a modern twist,” said Arnim Butzen, Head of TV at Telekom.
Sky Retains the Majors
Sky will continue to broadcast all Major Championships in the coming years, maintaining a vital part of the golf broadcasting landscape. This includes the Solheim Cup and all five women’s Majors, ensuring that fans can still watch the sport’s most prestigious events on Sky. To follow all weekly tournaments and the Majors, fans will need subscriptions to both Magenta TV and Sky.
