TGL kicks off its second season with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.
The opening match of TGL Season 2 revisits the thrilling finale of the inaugural season. On December 28, Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club will face off once again, with Atlanta entering as reigning champions after narrowly winning both final matches by a single point. Before the first tee shot, Atlanta’s championship banner will be raised to the rafters. The match will follow the familiar format, featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams start with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off first. Star-studded lineups return: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.
Atlanta Drive GC Brings Proven Strengths
Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in head-to-head Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover showcased flawless fairway accuracy. New York Golf Club rebounded from an 0–2 start to make the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in points and impressing with his driving distance.
Enhanced Gameplay with Technical Upgrades
The new TGL season also brings changes to the playing environment. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf now allow for dynamic contours, increasing tactical possibilities. The hole catalog has also been updated, introducing new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add a personalized touch. A total of 15 custom-designed holes will be played.
